Role purpose:

Working as part of an enterprising team the People & Culture Business Partner will spearhead efforts to support our ambitious growth plans and professionalize our people proposition. This is a role that combines operational and strategic responsibilities, requiring a solid HR background in addition to a sound commercial mindset in order to successfully partner with and influence all areas of the business. We are looking for an experienced and highly capable person to create and implement a range of solutions to address our key people challenges: talent acquisition*, people management, performance, engagement and development. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and take a hands on approach but will succeed above all through deep collaboration. Based in Amman Jordan, the role will be required to travel between our sites in the capital. There is a competitive compensation package to match the challenges.

Key responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition - Proactively partner with the business and the internal TA team on recruitment activities, including identifying and selecting appropriate sources of candidates. Partner with and, where appropriate, influence managers to ensure we are hiring the right caliber of candidates.

  • Performance, engagement and building people management capability - Support and develop people managers in driving a culture of performance and innovation as well as ensuring optimum employee engagement across customer groups. Coach leaders to equip them with the right skills and behaviors to lead their teams through hyper growth and change. Build relationships with key leaders and identify people management issues that might threaten our growth results/momentum. Support the creation and implementation of impactful engagement plans based on survey data and a personal diagnosis of underlying issues within the business.

  • Talent Development - Build plans to develop key talent, de-risk critical roles and SPOFs and propose strategies to deliver concrete succession options to enable future growth.

  • Learning & Development - Support the design and delivery of appropriate training to increase capability and engagement of employees.

  • Employee Relations - Own the employee relations case list for the business, to manage risks effectively, and provide a fair system for employees in line with our policies, procedures and values.

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Strong HR Business Partner experience
  • Results driven and goal oriented - Can deliver results by effectively prioritizing their workload
  • Strong personal impact and relationships building skills, with the capability and energy to drive change
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Fluent verbal and written Arabic
  • Strong commercial awareness and diagnostic skills
  • Able to provide expert input to you client groups in term of Jordanian employment law
  • High standards to professional conduct and integrity are a must

Preferred knowledge, skills and experience:

  • International experience
  • A good understanding of engineering / manufacturing businesses would be a distinct advantage

The ideal profile:

●       At your core you will need to bring an ability to interact, engage, influence and have credibility at all levels, especially senior management as well as be able to navigate a matrix organization with ease and discretion.

●       You will be able to assess client needs, requirements, preferences and set expectations effectively and harness data to influence and land key messages with integratory

●       You will need to understand how your own work impacts the bigger picture and ability to make judgements based on the business strategy and our people & culture strategy

●       You will have strong verbal and written communications in both formal and informal settings and be confident to present all levels and varying size of teams

●       Analytical, comfortable with interpreting and using data insights

●       Intellectual capacity to learn quickly

●       You can bring a strong experience of working with people managers in an advice and coaching capacity
