Your Impact

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the engineering team, including directing, coordinating and exercising authority for planning, organization, leadership and completion of engineering projects. You will be responsible for Eon's next generation automation, facilities' expansions, and supporting our manufacturing facilities to deliver on the hyper growth plans Eon is in route to deliver in the upcoming period. You will be working hand in hand with our head of supply chain, our manufacturing department, and our automation team, to deliver on the capacity requirements and achieve the highest levels of automation.

What You'll Do

    • Proposing and managing budgets for projects.
    • Supervising the work of multiple teams.
    • Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time.
    • Researching, developing, directing, reviewing, and approving product design and changes.
    • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, process, change and improve design and equipment.
    • Determining the need for training and talent development.
    • Hiring contractors and building teams.
    • Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
    • Leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products and processes.
    • Create reports to give updates on projects.
    • Evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems.
    • Detail-oriented for understanding complex systems and the ability to pay attention to details, as a minor error can result in major problems.
    • Math skills, including calculus and other advanced mathematics for developing new processes and products.
    • Attend trade shows and conferences when needed.
    • Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
    • Strong presentation, written and verbal skills.
    • Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members in a clear manner.
    • Professional/ mature demeanor under stressful conditions.
    • Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff. When needed, coach and develop each member of the engineering team.
    • Develop cost estimates, and approve expenditures.
    • Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts.
    • Adhere to quality assurance protocols when introducing new machinery to the workflow.

Essential knowledge, skills and experience

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or electromechanical engineering.
    • Automation or robotics knowledge.
    • 5-10 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing facilities.
    • Fluent English.
    • Decision making, problem solving and organizational skills
    • Able to deal with multiple projects at once.
    • Has basic knowledge of automation scripts' logic.
    • Has built or contributed to building industrial facilities.
    • Has installed production lines from scratch.
    • You have worked with multiple automation providers.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project).

 Preferred knowledge, skills and experience

    • You graduated from a top engineering university globally.
    • Master's degree in engineering management, technical management, or business administration.
    • Experience in implementing robotic and conveyance solutions at manufacturing facilities.
    • You have experience in clear aligner manufacturing.
    • Proven supervisory and technical skills.
    • You have basic/good Arabic.
    • You're familiar with Google Workspace (Gmail, Gsheets, Gdocs, etc.).
    • Mechanical design fundamentals (CAD).
    • Computer assisted programming (CAM).
    • Quality processes (six sigma).
